Christmas Club checks are mailed in the first week of November.
Commercial customers are inelegible for Christmas Club savings accounts
Christmas Club Interest Handling/Statements/Early Withdrawals/Bank Closure: Christmas Club accounts accrue interest for the entire year per the interest rates disclosed elsewhere in your account opening disclosures. Accrued interest on Christmas Club accounts posts on October 31st of each year. On October 31st the full balance in the account, plus accrued interest, will be mailed to the account owner(s) to the address on the account in the form of a check.
Statements for Christmas Club accounts will be sent only once per year as of October 31st, unless otherwise required by regulation.
Any withdrawals of the principal balance in the Christmas Club account before the October 31st check issuance will result in a forfeiture of interest on the amount withdrawn plus a $15.00 early withdrawal penalty (per early withdrawal). Early withdrawals will only be permitted for over-the-counter transactions. No electronic withdrawals (ACH) will be permitted on a Christmas Club account. Any electronic withdrawals that are attempted will incur the "Nonsufficient Funds" Fee of $32.00 per item. Christmas Club accounts are NOT eligible to receive an ATM or Debit card.
After the October 31st check issuance the Christmas Club account will be taken to a zero balance. The account will not be closed at this time. Deposits may be made at any time. If there are no deposits made, the account will remain open, with no fees, until January 31st of the following calendar year. If there have been no deposits by January 31st the account may be closed.
